David Berchowitz – CTO

David Berchowitz is the Chief Technology Officer of Global Cooling and resides in Athens, Ohio.

Dr. Berchowitz has over 30 years of experience in the research and development of Stirling engines. He first worked on Stirling engines for automotive use at Mechanical Technology, Inc. following the conferral of his degree. Dr. Berchowitz moved to Sunpower Inc. in 1981 and was soon promoted to Chief Engineer. In 1995, he co-founded Global Cooling with Dale Kiikka to provide commercial products based on Stirling technology. Dr. Berchowitz is a recognized expert in the field of Stirling technology.

Neill Lane – CEO

Neill Lane is the Chief Executive Officer of Global Cooling, Inc. in Athens, Ohio.

Mr. Lane holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa and has worked in the clean energy field his entire career. He served as the President and CEO of Sunpower, Inc. for 10 years and led the development of Sunpower’s in house manufacturing process. Mr. Lane also assisted in establishing worldwide licensing activities for Sunpower, Inc. Previously Mr. Lane was the President of Blight to Bright LLC, an Ohio developer of large-scale solar installations, and an Executive in Residence with TechGROWTH Ohio, a pre-seed fund providing funding and assistance to early stage, innovative technology companies.

Yong-Rak Kwon-Vice President Engineering

Yong-Rak Kwon is the Senior Engineer for Global Cooling and resides in Athens, Ohio.

Mr. Kwon has been involved with Stirling technology for over 17 years and holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering. He worked 8 years on Stirling commercialization efforts with Samsung Electronics and joined Global Cooling in 2000. He leads the engineering team as they develop and manufacture ultra-low temperature freezers for commercialization purposes.

Bill Morgan – Controller

Bill Morgan is the Controller for Global Cooling and resides in Reynoldsburg, Ohio with his wife and two children.

Mr. Morgan has led a successful accounting/finance career for more than twenty years, beginning as an Auditor for a CPA firm in Virginia. He has held management positions at USA TODAY and ValueOptions, and has been CFO, Vice President of Finance, and Controller for several privately owned businesses in the past. Prior to acting as Controller for Global Cooling, Mr. Morgan was Controller for Accent Energy of Dublin, Ohio.
